Map count checked Official 27 (Steam store API); 8 names citable; community lists 26

The final Quake Champions build contains 27 maps, according to the store listing. That number is first-party and easy to state. A complete, verifiable list of all 27 names is a different problem, and this page explains exactly how far the evidence goes instead of padding the gap. Verified 24 September 2026.

The store listing is the only first-party map count for Quake Champions; id Software has not published a named map list in the 1.31 material.

That is eight names, seven of them from a community category page that rendered only part of its contents. It is nowhere near 27, and this page will not invent the other nineteen.

The gap between 27 and 26

A second community source gathers 26 map names for Quake Champions. The official figure is 27.

The one-map difference has no published explanation. Plausible causes include a variant counted separately in the official total, a map added late in the game's life and never added to the community list, or a simply incomplete community page. This page shows the discrepancy rather than closing it by guesswork, and the same gap is flagged in the site's own coverage note on the home page.

What 1.31 changed

Two maps were touched by the final patch.

Lockbox received fixes to its item layout and spawn points. That matters for timing players: if you learned Lockbox around the pre-1.31 item positions, the layout you memorised is not the layout in the final build.

Tower of Koth was split into two size variants, and the patch notes are explicit about which mode uses which:

ModeTower of Koth variant
FFA (Deathmatch)Large
TDMLarge
InstagibLarge
DuelSmall
2v2Small
Unholy TrinitySmall

The split is a design statement: the developers considered the objective and duel formats to need tighter spaces than the free-for-all modes.

What this page does not provide

  • No per-map item layouts or spawn points. No first-party documentation exists, and no community source we could reach documents them reliably.
  • No per-map pages. With no reliable layout data and no dedicated search demand, 27 map pages would be 27 empty shells. The pool is documented here in one place.
  • No claim to be an official list. The named maps above are community-sourced and partial; the count is official and complete. The two are labelled differently on purpose.

Why the map research is incomplete

One candidate source — the Quake Champions wiki's Arenas page — failed to return usable content across repeated fetch attempts, returning an invalid-result error each time. The category page that did load rendered only a partial list. Both facts are recorded so that the gap in this page is traceable to a failed retrieval rather than to a decision to leave it incomplete.

For the item timers you will use on these maps, see respawn times; for how map control shapes a match, the gameplay page.
