This page describes what this Quake Champions guide actually collects and what it does not. Two optional categories exist — audience measurement and advertising — and nothing from either one loads until you allow it.
Your choices come first
- No analytics or advertising script is requested before you decide. Until you make a choice, neither category runs.
- The two categories are separate. You can allow measurement and refuse advertising, or refuse both.
- Your choice is stored in a first-party cookie in this browser only. It is not sent anywhere else, and it is not used for anything except remembering your decision.
- You can change or withdraw it at any time by opening the privacy choices panel from any page footer.
Audience measurement
If you allow it, the site loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-DD65WDWE5J) to understand which pages are useful and where readers get stuck. Google processes this data as a third-party provider; its own privacy policy governs how it handles the information it receives at policies.google.com/privacy.
Purposes: counting visits, seeing which pages and sections are read, and understanding which external sources send readers here. Refusing measurement does not restrict any part of the guide — every page works the same either way.
Advertising
Advertising is a separate optional category. This site does not currently run an advertising network, so no advertising code is loaded even if you allow the category. If an advertising network is enabled in future, it will only load after you allow advertising, and its provider's privacy policy will be linked at that point.
Advertisements, if enabled later, may be served by a third-party network that sets its own cookies or identifiers. That is why the category is opt-in and separate from measurement rather than bundled into it.
The consent cookie
| Item | Detail |
|---|---|
| What it stores | Your analytics and advertising choices |
| Where it lives | First-party cookie in this browser |
| Scope | This site only; not shared with other domains |
| Lifetime | Until it is cleared or you change your choice |
| How to remove | Use the privacy choices panel, or clear site data in your browser |
No other cookies are set by this site's own code. If you allow measurement, Google may set its own cookies in accordance with its policy.
What this site does not do
- No accounts and no sign-up. You cannot log in, and no profile data is stored.
- No personal information is requested. There is no newsletter, no comment system and no form that collects personal details.
- No selling of data. Nothing collected here is sold or shared for a commercial purpose.
- No advertising before consent. The advertising category is off by default and currently has no network behind it anyway.
- No attempt to identify you. Measurement is used in aggregate, to see which pages are read, not to build a profile of an individual reader.
Third parties in play
| Party | Role | When it is involved |
|---|---|---|
Google Analytics 4 (G-DD65WDWE5J) | Audience measurement | Only if you allow measurement |
| Advertising network | Serving ads | Not currently enabled; only if enabled and allowed |
| Steam, SteamDB, SteamCharts, community wikis | Outbound links only | When you click a source link; their policies apply on their sites |
External links in this guide lead to other sites, and those sites have their own privacy practices. Following a source link is a normal outbound navigation, and this guide has no control over what those destinations collect.
Questions and changes
If you have a question about this policy, or you believe something here is inaccurate, write to contact@quakechampions.wiki. What to put in a message, and the other routes for reaching the editorial team, are set out on the contact page.
How a message is delivered: mail sent to that address is forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to the mailbox provider the site's operator uses. That provider is not named on this page — it is a private mailbox rather than a service of this site — and the site itself keeps no copy of a message and no contact list.
Changes to this policy will be published on this page with an updated check date, so the current version is always the one you are reading. The terms that govern use of the site are on the terms page.
